Field Day (Undokai)

School-wide teams are formed to compete in short- and long-distance foot races, tamaire (ball-toss), and other games. Field Days are held at least once a year and in many schools twice, in spring and fall. In preparation for Field Day, teams get together to practice cheers and otherwise build up their solidarity as a class or team.
