【1】My Spring Break Was Filled with Club Activities

Natsu's spring break was "Bukatsu zuke." "Zuke" comes from a verb "tsukeru" which means "soak" or "pickle." Natsu described her spring break filled with club activities using this expression.
Recently, Japanese high school students often surprise the world by their high level of performance in sports and by displaying great results in world championships. All of those successes are the result of hard work by the members of school clubs, who practice even during the school breaks. In 2017, a film was made based on a true story of high school students who won first place in the 2009 All America Cheerleading Championships.
