わたしのまち、学校のある標茶町

学校の近くを流れる釧路川の冬の景色です。川から煙のようなものが立ちのぼっていますが、これは「けあらし」と呼ばれる蒸気霧です。冬の晴れた寒い日によく見られます。温かい水面を冷たい乾いた空気が流れると発生します。

My high school town: Shibecha

his is a winter landscape near the Kushiro River that flows near our school. The steamy mist that rises off the river, which we call "kearashi," can often be seen on clear but cold days. The mist rises when cold, dry air blows over the relatively warmer surface of the water.
