Boy scouts ring the bell in front of the Statue of the A-Bomb Children built in memory of Sasaki Sadako and other child victims in the Peace Memorial Park. Sadako, who was two years old at the time of the bombing and died of leukemia when she was twelve, helped link paper cranes as a symbol of peace with Hiroshima.
