Hello, My name is Mikaela and I am fourteen years old. I live on Magnetic Island, which is eight kilometers east of Townsville. When I was seven years old, my family and I moved to North Queensland from Brisbane, which is in the south of Queensland. I've lived on Magnetic Island for four years now. Altogether, I have been living in North Queensland for seven years. Magnetic Island is a very beautiful and peaceful place. I love it here.
      There are five people in my family. My mother named Tina, my father named Jack, my younger sister named Lani and my younger brother named Julian.
      At school, I study six subjects. They are: mathematics, English, H.P.E (Health and Physical Education.), Japanese, home economics and science. My favourites are home economics and Japanese. We have an assistant Japanese teacher from Japan. Her name is Miyuki Yoshida and she is very kind and pretty. I have lots of friends. My best friend is Ava who is intelligent and pretty.
      In my spare time I like to go shopping, go to the beach, watch movies, hang with my friends and family and play with my pets. I have two cats who are sisters. They do not fight much.
      My favourite food is chicken, my favourite drink is creaming soda and my favourite snack is chocolate. Last year, my friend's Japanese pen pal sent us Japanese chocolate (cookies and cream). It was delicious. When I visit Japan, I will buy some.
