私はドライビングレーンジでゴルフをれんしゅうしています。ラスべガスで天気がよくて毎日ゴルフのねだんがやすいです。夏になると人たちはあそびたくないからゴルフじょうはやすくなります。私は夏によくあそびます。
I am practicing golf at a driving range. In Las Vegas the weather is good and everyday the price of golfing is cheap. When it turns into summer, people don't really play as much so the best golf places get cheaper. I often play during the summer.
私の父と母のしゃしん。父と母はやさしくて元気な人たちです。毎しゅう日曜日にレストランに食べに行きます。アメリカや中ごくやイタリアのりようりを食べます。つぎのしゃしんは私の犬たちです。犬たちはみんなかわいいです。
This is a picture of my father and mother. My father and mother are kind and active people. Every Sunday they go to a restaurant to eat. They eat American, Chinese, and Italian among other things. The next photo is of my dogs. All my dogs are very cute.
この日に私の友だちといっしょにじてん車にのりに行きました。５時間のってつかれましたがたのしかったです。ラスベガスでじてん車のることはちょっとあぶないです。くるまがたくさんありますからたいへんです。
This day my friends and I went biking. We biked for five hours and although we were tired, it was still really fun. You have to be kind of careful when you ride bikes in Los Vegas. There are a lot of cars so it's kind of difficult.
私の学校の前のしゃしん。学生たちはよく学校にうんてんして来ます。つぎのしゃしんはわたしの日本語のクラスです。みんなは日本語がじょうずです。
This is a picture of the front of my school. Students often drive their cars to school. The next photo is of my Japanese language class. Everyone is very good at Japanese.
ラスベガスできれいなけしきがたくさんあります。このしゃしんはベラジオと言うカジノです。このカジノの前におもしろい水のシヨウがあります。
Las Vegas has many beautiful landscapes. This is a photo of the Bellagio casino. In front of this hotel there is an interesting water show.
   私のせいかつ
私の名前はエリックです。アメリカのラスベガスにすんでいます。四人かぞくです。父と母と兄とすんでいます。父と母は日本から来てアメリカに二十七年すんでいます。家で犬を三びきかっています。犬三びきの名前はセイヂとジュニアとジンジャです。
   父の名前はのりです。父はやさしくておかしい人です。えいがかんでえいが見ることがだいすきです。夏休みになると毎しゅうえいがかんに行きます。父は私といっしょにえいがをいつも見たいですが私はえいがを見ることがあまりすきではありません。父はべにはなというレストランではたらいています。毎日四時にうちを出てしごとに行きます。
   母の名前はみちこです。母はかんだいでやさしい人です。わたしは母のおいしいにほんりょうりが大すきです。毎日私は学校からかえって母はおいしい食べものを作ってくれます。大学へ行く時母のりょうりがもう食べませんからしぬだろうと思います。母は私にもんくを時々言うけど私は母をいつもあいしています。
   私はデュランゴ高校四年生です。学校は七時にはじまって一時十分ぐらいにおわります。毎あさ学校に行く前に母はあさごはんをつくります。パンやたまごやりんごを食べます。食べてから車で学校に行きます。うちから学校まで十分ぐらいかかります。今年びぶんせきぶんとせいぶつがくと英語と日本語としゅうじをならっています。しゅくだいをすることが大きらいです。家にかえってあまりべんきょうしないでテレビを見たりねたりします。わたしはとてもものうげな人です。
   六年前からゴルフをしました。りょうしんは私にゴルフをしてほしかったのでゴルフのレッスンをさせました。ラスベガスにゴルフじょうがたくさんあります。夏になるとゴルフのしあいに行きました。しあいで一ばんになったことがありませんでしたがたのしかったです。私のたまはいつも水やすなに入りました。いま時間があまりありませんからゴルフをしません。
   ラスベガスはとても大きい町です。みちもこんでいます。私はまだめんきょをとっていませんから一人でたんけんすることができません。私の友だちはめんきょがありますからいつも私は友だちにむかえに来てもらっています。友だちはいつも私にいつめんきょをとりにいくのとききますが私はいつもむしします。
   私はいい友だちが三人います。その三人の名前はクリスとアンドルーとジョウです。毎週金曜日に私のいえでみんなはあそびにきます。ビデオゲームをしたりあるマクドノルドにたべに行ったりこうえんにあそびに行ったりします。

毎しゅうであいをよんでいます。であいはおもしろくてたのしいです。日本語とえい語の文をよんで日本語でそのひとのことをかきます。時々先生はそのであいの人のことをせつめいします。あたらしい人のであいをもらうとまえの人のせいかつとくらべます。日本人のせいかつをならえてたのしいです。
   やまもとたかゆきのであいが一ばんおもしろかったです。たかゆきのせいかつはアメリカのせいかつとおんなじです。日本でアメフトがあることをよんで私はびっくりしました。たかゆきのごりょうしんはさかなやではたらいてたいへんみたいです。毎あさ五時半におしごとに行ってえらいです。
   My Life
My name is Eric. I live in Las Vegas in the United States. There are 4 people in my family: my father, mother, big brother, and I. My parents immigrated from Japan and have lived in the US for 27 years. I have 3 dogs called Sage, Junior, and Ginger.
      My father, Nori is gentle and unique. He likes watching movies at the theater so he goes there every week in his summer break. I wish I could see movies with him, but unfortunately I don't like movies much. My father works at the restaurant called Benihana. He leaves our house at 4 to go to work everyday.
      My mother, Michiko is generous and gentle. I love her Japanese food. She cooks delicious food when I get back from school everyday. I think I will die when I go to a college because I won't be able to taste her dishes any more. Although she sometimes complains about me, I love her.
      I am a senior student in Durango High School. I go to school at 7 and leave around 1:10. My mother prepares breakfast such as bread, eggs, and apples for me every morning. When I finish eating, I go to school by car. It takes about 5 minutes from my house. I study Calculus, English, Japanese, and Calligraphy this year. I hate doing my homework so when I get home, I always watch TV and lie down. I think I am a lazy person.
      I started playing golf 6 years ago. My parents wanted me to play golf so they forced me to take lessons. There are many golf courses in Las Vegas. I went to the match during summer. I never could take a first place, but it was so much fun. I remember that my ball always went into water or sand. I don't play it anymore because I don't have much time.
      Las Vegas is a huge city, and traffic is heavy. I can't drive to explore the city by myself since I haven't gotten a driver's license yet. My friend who has a license always picks me up for a ride. Though he always asks me when I will get a license, I just ignore him.
      I have 3 close friends, Chris, Andrew, and Joe. They come to my house every Friday to play a video game. We go to McDonald's and a park.

I read Deai every week. I think it is interesting and fun. I read it in Japanese and English then write something about a character in Deai in Japanese. My teacher sometimes explains about characters and compares new characters with old ones. It is exciting to learn about Japanese life.
      My favorite episode is the one with Takayuki Yamamoto. I think his life is much similar to American life. It is amazing to know that Japanese people play American football. Takayuki's parents seem very busy working at a fish shop. I am impressed because they wake up at 5:30 to go to work every morning.
