 今日は！私はエリズベスと言って、十八才です。オハイオで生まれて、でもオハイオでそだちませんでした。生まれた時から一才になった時まで、ウエストバジニアに住んでいました。それから、家族とピツツバーグに来て、そだちました。今年、高校三年生です。今年の六月でそつぎょうします。そして、そつぎょうを楽しみにしています。高校三年はやさしそうですが、いろいろなことを心配しなければなりません。私は大学に入るために心配しています。せいせきがとても大切で、むずかしいしけんとしゅくだいがよくあります。

私の家族をしょうかいします。四人で、母と父と弟と私です。私の父はとてもしんせつで楽しい人です。五十一才で、それから、三十二年間大工の仕事していました。大工の仕事があったり、なかったりするから、ひまな時がよくあります。父は働かない時、料理したり、音楽を聞いたり、もくせいひんを作ったりする事が好きです。そして、父は大工ですから建物も建てれます。家族はピッツバーグに来る時，家をたてなければなりませんでした。私は父はぎじゅつあると思います。
私の母はあたまがよく、あいそうがいいです。四十才で、コンピューターの先生です。じえいの仕事ですから、ひまな時もよくあります。しゅみはどくしょや料理や映画を見ることです。ボランティアワークも好きです。ホスピス（hospice）で病気のひとをたすけます。ホスピスのボランティアワークがたいへんです。私は母をそんけいします。
私は弟はアレクスと言って、十七才です。私と弟の間、年がちかくて、ふたごのようです。弟はコンピューターのテクノロジーがよくわかります。そして、ひまな時コンピューターを作ったり、なおしたりします。コンピューターが大好きですが、大学でコンピューターの作り方を勉強したくないそうです。そのかわりにてんもんがくをせんこうしたい。でも、私はさいごにはアレクスくんがコンピューターのせんこうができるといいと思います。

私の大切なもの
私に音楽はとても大切です。私の家族はほとんどいろいろな楽器をひいて、そして音楽を聞くのが好きです。だから、小さい時から、たくさんのしゅるいの音楽で私をかこんでいました。音楽は大切な生活のいちぶになりました。小学四年生から、オーボエをならってふいていました。オーボエをならうのはむずかしくて、時間がかかります。でも、私は友達と音楽をひくのをたのしんで、リラックスできます。

私の将来
今年の秋大学に行きはじめます。それから、私の将来をよく考えています。でもどんなしょくぎょうにつくかわかりません。日本語と日本のぶんかを勉強したいが、たくさんお仕事の中できめなければなりません。外国はとてもおもしろいと思います。だから、高校のあと、よく旅したいです。すべての世界の名所を見たいです。とくに、エジプトと日本がすきです。ある日、日本におそらく住んで見たいです。

私とたかくんのひかく

About myself
Hello! My name is Elizabeth,
and I am 18 years old. I was born in Ohio but raised somewhere
else. My family lived in West Virginia from when I was born
to when I turned 1 year old, then moved to Pittsburgh. I
was raised there. I'm a senior student and graduating this
June. I'm looking forward to it very much. Being a senior
student seems easy, but there are many things to worry about.
I'm worried about going to college. Grades are very important,
and there are difficult exams and assignments.

About my family
Let me introduce my family;
my mother, my father, my brother, and I. My father is very
kind and cheerful. He is 51 years old and has been a carpenter
for 32 years. He often has time because his job is irregular.
When he doesn't have to work, he cooks, listens to the music,
and makes wood products. Being a carpenter, he can make buildings.
When my family moved to Pittsburgh, we needed to build our
house. I think he has good skills.
My mother is clever and amiable. She
is 40 years old, and works as a computer teacher. Since she
teaches on her own, she often has much time. Her hobbies
are reading, cooking, and watching movies. She also likes
volunteering so that she goes to the hospice and helps patients.
I respect my mother.
My brother, Alex is 17 years old. He
and I are close in age and like twins. He knows a lot about
computer technology. When he has time, he makes or fixes
a computer. Although he likes computers very much, he doesn't
want to learn how to make computers in a college. He wants
to study Astronomy, instead, but I wish he would major in
Computers.

My treasure
Music is very important
for me. Most of my family members play instruments and like
listening to the music. I have been surrounded with many
kinds of music since when I was little. Music has been a
part of my life. I have been playing oboe since the forth
grade. Learning how to play an oboe is difficult and takes
time, but I enjoy playing the music with my friends, and
it is relaxing.

My future
I will start going to college
this fall. I've been thinking about my future but I haven't
gotten any idea what I will do. I want to study Japanese
and Japanese culture, but I need to decide what to do among
many things. I find foreign countries interesting so I want
to do lots of traveling after graduating from high school.
I want to see all notable sights around the world. I like
Egypt and Japan best of all others. I want to live in Japan
someday.

Taka-kun and I
Taka-kun likes American football very
much, and he is on a team. I can honestly say that I find
American football not that attractive. There is a good team
called Steelers in our town. Many people in Pittsburgh enjoy
watching their games every Sunday. I often watch them with
my family.
Taka-kun spends much time playing American
football. I also spend my time for American football, but
not to play. I will play music as a member of a marching
band in high school. American football is important for my
town and family, but I don't find it interesting…
