No two leaves are exactly
alike. If being different enhances my individuality, I'm
unique.
I love music. Whenever a melodic song is in the air I
feel as if fish are dancing in my mind. When I am in a
good mood, I hum along with the rhythm, and when I am
down I close my eyes. This way I feel as if I am in a
sea of music where my fish can swim freely and then I
can stop crying.
When I help my mother in the kitchen using the knife,
I always like to chop things in many different rhythms.
I also like to hit the cooking pots with chopsticks like
a drum. My mother always asks me, "Are you cooking or
practicing?" I always tell her that I am practicing art.
When in school, I like to express my feelings through
songs. When school is out, my friends and I go to karaoke
and sing our hearts out without thinking about others.
When you sing to your heart's content, it refreshes you
and you can let yourself go with the song. When May Day
comes, every class prepares some kind of entertainment.
Since I am involved in the Literature Committee besides
studying and doing aerobics, I can get overloaded, but
feel fulfilled. When I am in the classroom during the
evening for study hall, I feel drowsy. When I go to sleep,
I like to wear my headphones to listen to music. As I
concentrate on the music with my eyes closed or fumble
with my cell phone, I doze off into my dreams. I study
most of the day, but during recess I chat with the girls
or listen to music, trying to relax my head and heart
so that I can study harder at my desk.
Another one of my favorite pastimes is looking at the
faraway mountains from the rooftop. My favorite song "Qingzang
Plateau" would suddenly play in my mind. I like to stand
by the seashore. When I hear the sound of waves, with
the sea wind blowing towards me, I feel as if a new vision
has suddenly opened in front of me. I also like to sit
under the sun. When I am showered by sunlight, it feels
like I am singing loudly on stage with all my might. Looking
up at the blue sky with my chin in one hand, I like to
enjoy unusual sceneries around me. The beauty of all the
colors and feelings cannot be expressed in words!
Every day and every year I look back and see that there
are footsteps behind me. They show me how much I have
matured. My way of thinking is maturing, with the ups
and downs of these footsteps. There is the joy of growing
up and also worries and pain, but most of all I feel proud
of myself. I feel proud of the one and only ME because
I have grown up so much!
