My name’s Eliza. I’m 17.  I was born on July 16. I’m a senior at Durango High School in Las Vegas. I really like Las Vegas. Some nights I like to go out and see the casinos. The casino’s light’s colors are really pretty. Las Vegas is really interesting, but I don’t really like the weather. In the summer it becomes terribly hot. You could even cook an egg on the road! 
      I have three people in my family, my mom and my little brother. My mom’s name is Dorothy. She’s 45 years old. She works at the Mandalay Bay casino, but she is also a college student. Her major is history. She is really nice and smart, so sometimes she’ll help me with my history homework.
      My little brother’s name is David. He’s 15 years old. He’s a freshman at Durango, so every morning we go to school together. He is very funny. He always makes me and my mom laugh. In my brother’s free time, he likes to video play games. He really, really likes his video games. In the future, he even wants to make his own. My little brother is also my friend.  Since we were little, we have gotten along.  We never fight.  My brother’s name comes from my dad’s little brother.  My dad’s little brother was in a car accident.  In that accident, he was killed.  My brother and I never met him.
      I have a dad, but he doesn’t live with us.  When I was 4, my mom and my dad divorced.  My mom and dad are still friends though.  My dad’s a nice person.  My brother and I often meet with him.  Sometimes he takes us to Utah, and we sleep in his cabin.  That’s really fun!  But two years ago in Utah my brother and I got lost in the woods.  It was scary, but my dad found us.
      At home, I take care of three pets. I have two cats, and one dog. My cat’s names are Obi and Momo. Obi is gray. Also, he’s very loud. Often at night, Obi meows, and wakes up my mom. My mom doesn’t like him very much. Momo is Obi’s little sister. Momo is a calico; therefore she is white, orange, and gray. Momo is cute, but very fat. She really likes to eat. All day, every day, Momo only sleeps, and eats.
      My dog’s name is Kota. He’s brown and white, and in front of his mouth, he’s missing a tooth. Kota really likes people. If he’s loney, he’ll cry. Somtimes, Kota and Momo will sit in front of the window and look at the pidgens in the yard together. It is really cute!
      I really like various kinds of art, therefore in my free time, I draw pictures, take photos, play the guitar and violin, and write stories.  Since I was little, I wanted to make manga.  9 years I ago I started to draw pictures.  At first drawing was hard, but now I’m good at it.  In the future, maybe I’ll become an illustrator.
      I also like music.  Seven years ago I began playing the violin.  I played in my school’s orchestra.  One year ago I began playing the guitar, too.  I like the Japanese bands Gazette and Plastic Trees.  Plastic Tree’s Ryutarou Arimura is very handsome!  He’s good at singing.  Also, he can play the guitar, therefore I wanted to starting playing, too.  But I think the violin is more fun.  I really like the violin.
       I also like animals, but I really hate spiders! They’re ugly, dirty, dangerous and gross. When I see one, I jump on top of my bed and yell, "mom! Spider! Help! Help!". My mom comes, and kills the spider.  It’s really embarrassing.
     In the future I will probably go to Seattle’s art school.  Also, I want to go to Japan.  I want to become better with the Japanese language.
