I
was born on July tenth, 1986 in Hinsdale Illinois near Chicago.
I am a twin with my brother Kyle, which has proven to be
an interesting thing. He has been my best friend my entire
life; there is nothing like having a friend to play with
everyday. It's almost impossible to be lonely. My father's
name is Steven Andrew Cory, and my mother's name is Rachel
Anne Cory. I have an older brother named Jason. He is autistic,
which means he has a mental disability that affects his
communication and understanding skills. We all lived in
Chicago for about ten years with each other, but only after
my parents divorced when I was six years old.
My brother and I were models when we were really young;
we worked for a talent agency called Stewart talent. They
eventually landed us a roll in a made for T.V. movie called
"Mario and the Mob." After our modeling career ended, we
continued growing up in Addison, a suburb of Chicago. Although
my memories of elementary school are faint, I at least remember
enjoying them. In the summer we were to turn eleven, my
family and I decided to move to Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
It didn't take me long to make friends, even though I talked
funny to most of the kids around. It was not hard to fit
in though; people in North Carolina are pretty easy going.
I grew up for a while, making different friends and learning
what I like to do. I was on a swim team for a while, but
it turned out that it was taking up too much of my time.
A really interesting time was graduating from middle school,
it was the first time in my life that I felt like I accomplished
something big. It was around my freshman year in high school
that I became interested in playing pool. This has evolved
into one of my biggest and most passionate hobbies. Throughout
high school I didn't succeed in making incredibly good grades,
but I got by. Also, during high school I participated in
a variety of sports and activities, I skateboarded for the
first two years of high school, and during my junior year
I wrestled and played Ultimate Frisbee. I met my current
girlfriend near the middle of junior year. She is a wonderful
person that I have spent a lot of happy times with, we are
still together even though we have broken up a couple times.
My senior year has probably been one of the best times of
my life. I haven't had to work nearly as hard as any of
the other three years, and it's always a good feeling to
be at the top of the school. I have been accepted to college
at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Yet,
one of the most long lasting enjoyable experiences of my
life has been taking Japanese under Kiyozuka Sensei. I love
the Japanese language, and all three years I have spent
learning it. The relationship I have developed with my Sensei
is priceless because she has instilled in the want to go
somewhere different and cultural in my life.
