いちばん好きなスポーツはレスリングです。
レスリングがたのしいです。
I am on the Menasha High School wrestling team. I wrestle at the 189 and 215 pound weight classes. I had a winning record this year and our team ended up with a five hundred season. This was my third year wrestling varsity, which means you are the best wrestler on your team at that weight.
Last year I was a sectional qualifier, which means that I was one of the top hundred wrestlers in the state at the weight I went at. I went at the 215-pound weight class. The wrestler I lost to ended up taking fourth at sectionals, but I should have beaten him. The referee didn't like me and wouldn't call the kid pinned. That ended my season last year, but I was glad to wrestle at sectionals.
グースハンティングはむずかしいです。
I am an avid hunter. I enjoy hunting because it is a difficult sport. It requires skill and patience. I am not very patient, but am working on it. It is fun to just get outside and get away from the cities. Being outside is very relaxing for the mind and body. Just sitting there listening to the sounds that normally are not heard. Also watching the animals that aren't found in the cities, moving around freely.
I also enjoy hunting for turkey. They are an unusual bird to hunt because they can get to be as big as thirty pounds and run as fast as a deer. They also roost in trees at night, which makes them hard to figure out. Once they are figured out though they make for an interesting hunt. They are heavy to carry after one has been shot.
I also hunt for deer. I bow and gun hunt for deer. Bow hunting is by far the favorite of the two because I don't have to sit in the stand for the whole day. I can get out every now and then and walk around and move.
フットボールが好きです。
けがをしてあまり出来なかったけどたのしかったです。
Football is a very fun sport. I had a great time playing it this year. I was on the varsity team, but due to injury didn't get to play as mush as I would have liked too. This was traumatic to me seeing as I love football. I quit soccer this year to go back to football after finding out how much I missed playing it.
Our team went to level three of the playoffs which means there was only about four teams in the whole state that were better than us.
私の寝室でくつろげます。
I am very relaxed in my room. I can think of things that have happened throughout the day and ponder things I have always questioned. I can sit and read a book or just lie around and watch television.
I sit in my room all the time because I can play video games on my TV. Lots of times when I am playing it is late at night so I just fall asleep while playing. Then I wake up later that night and turn the game off.
私のうちの地下はおもしろいです。
My basement is very interesting. I can go there to get away from everything. It is like my safe-haven. I no one in my family except for my brother and myself go down there because it is cold. Basements are always colder than the rest of the house because heat rises. I enjoy cold weather and love being down there.
Almost every house in Wisconsin has a basement. Basements were originally designed to aid in keeping food cooler, but are also used for keeping safe when tornadoes form. I use it to get away from the parents.

   ぼくはウィスコンシン州メナーシャにあるメナーシャ高校の11年生のカークです。今17歳でいろいろなスポーツをしていますが、同時に勉強もとても大事だと考えています。
   GPA（訳注：成績の平均。通常4点満点）はずっと4.0で、学校の優秀生徒になり、またとても光栄なことにナショナル・オナ・ソサエティ（米国学業成績認定委員会・高校生対象）への候補としても選ばれています。とても光栄なことだと思います。
   ぼくが所属するフットボールチームは、昨シーズンこれまででいちばんいい成績で、州大会で、第2地区の準決勝まで残りました。でも、ぼくはシーズンが始まってすぐにけがをしてしまったため、あまり試合には出場できませんでした。
   フットボールのほかにレスリングチームにも入っており、189ポンド級と、215ポンド級に出場しています。昨年は地方大会に出て、別の地域のナンバーワン選手をもう少しで倒せるところまでいったにもかかわらず、今年はまったくついてなく、ライバル校との練習試合で手を折ってしまいました。地方大会に出るための予選で、4位以内であれば地方大会に行けたのに、結局5位に終わっってしまいました。
   フットボールやレスリング中にけがをしましたが、狩りはしています。ガチョウ狩りでは、見事一羽を仕留めることができました。うまく仕留めたのでガチョウをまったく苦しまずにすみました。ぼくはハンターですが、動物が傷つくのをみるのが誰よりきらいなのです。
   寝るときはもちろん、考えごとをするときには自分の部屋で過ごします。1人になれるし、世界中の時間を独り占めにできるからです。さまざまアイデアをここで思いつきました。
   地下室にはいくつかぼくのトロフィーがあります。家にいるときはリラックスできる地下室にいることが多いです。昔は兄や姉がこの部屋を独占していましたが、今ではもういっしょに住んでいないので、休暇で家に戻ってきたとき以外は誰にも邪魔されることなくぼくが占領しています。
   ぼくには兄が2人（26歳と19歳）と姉が1人（23歳）います。とても兄と姉を尊敬していますし、この家族の一員であることがなによりラッキーだったと思います。
   Average "Kirk"
Hello, my name is Kirk. I am in the eleventh grade at Menasha High School in Menasha, Wisconsin. I am seventeen years old and play many sports. Scholastics are a very important part of my life as well.
      I maintain a 4.0 GPA (grade point average) and am an honor student at Menasha High School. National Honor Society is in the process of inducting new members to the society and I was selected as a candidate to be inducted. This is a great honor to have this privilege.
      The Menasha Varsity football team did very well this last season. We advanced to the quarterfinals of the state games in division 2. That is the furthest that any Menasha Team has ever gone. I didn't see much playing this time due to an injury that was obtained early in the season.
      I am also on the varsity wrestling team. I wrestle at the 189 pound and 215 pound weight classes. Last year I went to sectionals and almost upset the number one ranked person from the other regional. This year I wasn't as fortunate because again I had another injury. This time I was wrestling against our rival school and I broke my hand. I did manage to get back to wrestle regional to attempt to get back to sectional, but I lost my first match and ended up taking fifth when you needed to finish fourth or better to advance.
      While injured during football and wrestling I managed to do some hunting. I basically went goose hunting and did get one. It was a very clean and accurate shot and the goose didn't suffer at all. I am a hunter and I do not like to watch animal suffer anymore than anyone else.
      My bedroom is a place where I spend a lot of my time. When I am sleeping or need to think this is the place to go. I am isolated here and have all the time in the world to myself. I have had many unique thoughts take place here.
      These are some of my trophies that are in my basement. My basement is where I spend most of my time at home. I am relaxed down there. I am not bothered anymore seeing all of my brothers and sister are out of the house now. They use to occupy it, but it has been transferred to me. They do like to use it when they come home for vacation though.
      I have two older brothers and one older sister. My oldest brother just turned 26 and my other brother is 19. My sister is 23 years old and was the only female in the house beside my mom. I look up to all of my siblings and respect them as well. I couldn't have gotten luckier than I did when I became part of their family.
