"I've got to watch out I don't mess up in front of my mother."
There is a visitors' day once every trimester. On that day, our fathers, mothers, grandfathers, and grandmothers are free to come observe our classes, so everybody gets a bit nervous.
After class that day, the students go home but the parents stay for a PTA meeting. At PTA meetings our teacher talks about how the students are doing everyday. The parents and teacher discuss how they can make the school better for us. Also, our teacher sends out a class newsletter (gakkyu tsushin) about once a week to let our parents know how we're doing.
