ぼくは、2年生の9月から南風原高校の生徒会長をしています。任期は1年間です。毎週水曜日の昼休みは、生徒会のミーティング。ミーティングでは、みんなで昼ご飯を食べながら、これからの計画について話しあいます。また、生徒会報『ぺんぺん』を毎月発行しています。生徒会のおもな仕事は、文化祭や体育祭、講演会、音楽鑑賞会などの企画と運営です。

I was elected president of the Haebaru High School student council for one year, beginning in September of my second year. The student council meets every Wednesday during lunch recess. We discuss upcoming projects while we eat our lunch. We also put out "Penpen," the monthly students' bulletin. The main tasks of the student council are the planning and running of events like the school culture festival, sports festival, lecture meetings, and concerts.
