Ichikawa High School is a private school founded by a Zen Buddhist priest. Educational content is based on the spirit of Zen and includes, for example, Zen meditation practice. The screening system is based on letters of recommendation and interviews in addition to scores in English, Japanese, and mathematics, rather than entrance examinations.
