Message from the photographer
His smile comes from all the hard work he puts into his daily judo practice. You cannot believe his expression when he practices; it is so different from when he is in class. He weighs 120 kg. His smile vanishes once he starts to practice because he is the captain of his team and needs to train his teammates. He has a gentle expression on his face, just like a big brother. When he is with us, he is a normal boy. His shy smile is so adorable. We all adore him.
About the subject
Dai-chan is very popular at school. I have been very good friends with Dai-chan, my classmate, since the first year of high school. His personality makes people smile. I decided to take photographs of Dai-chan in various situations.
