【1】Our "My Way Your Way" Friends: Update, Myaako
Myaako has been making and selling fake food accessories since she was in junior high school. She was a third-year junior high school student when we interviewed her for My Way Your Way in 2013. Myaako was often ill as a child and frequently absent from school. She had also had trouble making friends at school. When things were not easy, Myaako's creativity helped her to become positive again. Myaako continues making things, and her craft is her form of self-expression.

2. Discussion points

3. Creative tasks
k) Imagine that Myaako's fake food accessory exhibition is coming to your local area. Create a bilingual poster (in Japanese and in your language) to promote the event. Refer to the photos of Myaako's accessories, her shop and so on.
l) Your local council has decided to hold a fake food accessory-making workshop in your town. Write a letter to ask Myaako to be the instructor of the workshop. In your letter, include a brief introduction of your local area, which food would be popular in your area, which fake food you would like to learn to make, and your reasons.

中学生の時からフェイクフードのアクセサリーなどを手作り販売しているみゃあこさん。2013年に「My Way Your Way」で紹介した時は中学3年生だった。小さいころから体が弱く学校も休みがち。学校での人間関係がうまくいかなかったつらい時も、フェイクフードの制作に打ち込むことでポジティブになれた。当時「作ること、売ることは続けていきたい」と語ったみゃあこさんは、その言葉通り、高校生になった今もモノづくりを通して自分を表現し続けている。
