Twice a month I spend weekends at the home of a friend in my class named Nao-chan. Nao-chan's family runs a dairy farm, so I help out with the cows, too.
After milking, the cows are turned out into the pasture again. Here one of the cows came up to me. At first glance, all cows seem alike, but when you take a good look, you can tell that each one has different physical characteristics and temperament. This cow was very friendly and interested in human beings. Cows are big animals and some people are afraid of them, but to me they are really menkoi (Hokkaido and Tohoku dialect for kawaii, "sweet, loveable").
