Ozegahara
尾瀬ヶ原
おぜがはら
Ozegahara (elevation: about 1,400 m. [4,600 ft.] ; area: 8 sq. km.
[3 sq miles]) is the largest high-elevation marshland in Japan.
It straddles the borders of Gunma, Fukushima, and Niigata prefectures
in central Honshu. Along with Ozenuma, a large lake, it is part
of Nikko National Park. |
