Ryukyu karate
琉球空手
While the origins of Ryukyu karate are not clear, it is believed to be a synthesis of an ancient Okinawan martial art called tei and another form of marital art introduced from China. Ryukyu karate is designated as an Intangible Cultural Treasure.
